DONATE TODAY!

Think Green Recycling

Think Green Recycling is a for-profit textile recycling company driven by purpose and performance. Our mission is to create measurable environmental and community impact by collecting, processing, and responsibly reselling donated clothing and textiles both domestically and internationally. Each year, we help divert millions of pounds of usable textiles from landfills, extending the life of clothing and reducing waste.

Our collection programs are designed as true partnerships. By placing and servicing donation bins, we provide schools, nonprofits, and community organizations with reliable fundraising opportunities while supporting local operations and global reuse markets. The resale and redistribution of these goods not only strengthens domestic recycling infrastructure but also supports economic activity in developing regions.

Founded in 2018, Think Green Recycling operates more than 300 collection bins across the state of Texas. Through strong municipal relationships, transparent operations, and a commitment to long-term sustainability, we demonstrate that responsible recycling—starting with a single clothing donation—can create lasting environmental and economic benefits.

Give Clothing a Second Life — Not a Landfill

The average American discards approximately 81 pounds of clothing each year. Nationwide, that results in more than 26 billion pounds of textiles ending up in landfills annually — much of it still usable. This level of waste isn’t inevitable; it’s a matter of access, awareness, and convenience.

Studies show that many people throw clothing away simply because it feels easier. Nearly one in three Americans say they don’t donate because disposal is more convenient, and over half believe their used items no longer have value.

At Think Green Recycling, we’re working to change that perception. Every donated shirt, jacket, or pair of shoes has purpose. By placing items into one of our collection bins, you help extend the life of clothing, reduce landfill waste, and support fundraising initiatives for local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations.

The textile reuse and secondhand industry already supports nearly 100,000 U.S. jobs and generates over $1 billion in annual wages. Together, we can expand that impact — keeping clothing in circulation, strengthening local communities, and creating meaningful environmental and economic change, one donation at a time.
